(FR) Cet atelier propose une introduction à l'analyse forensique critique développée par l'agence Forensic Architecture, puis à la manière dont celle-ci a été adaptée pour analyser la violence des frontières, en particulier avec l'agence de recherche et d'investigation Border Forensics, créée à Genève en 2021. 

(EN) This workshop introduces the critical forensic analysis methodology developed by the agency Forensic Architecture, and its adaptation to analyze the violence of borders, with a particular focus on the Geneva based research and investigation agency Border Forensics. 

(FR) Cet atelier sera structuré en trois temps.

Une première partie est dédiée aux méthodes innovantes créées et mobilisées par Border Forensics pour collecteur des données concernant différentes formes de violences des frontières, pour analyser des données hétérogènes et disparates, et pour les mettre en forme à l'aide notamment d'outils cartographiques afin d'en informer le grand public et d'entreprendre des actions judiciaires.

Une deuxième partie traitera de ces méthodes dans le cas du dispositif d'asile en Suisse.

Enfin, la dernière partie de l'atelier sera consacrée à un exercice pratique invitant les doctorant.e.s à réfléchir à des situations de violences dissimulées et aux sources mobilisables pour leur donner une visibilité.

(EN) The workshop is structured in three parts. 

The first part will focus on the innovative methods used by Border Forensics to collect different forms of data on border violence, and to analyze and format them using cartographic tools, in order to inform the public and take legal actions. 

The second part of the workshop will examine these methods in the context of Switzerland's asylum system.

Finally, the last part of the workshop will be devoted to a practical exercise inviting doctoral students to reflect on situations of concealed violence and the sources that can be mobilized to make them visible.
